% XM.CA. MATCHES , The final match of the V.M.C.A. Christmas Handicap was played last Monday night, Mr. H. Wilson (10 behind) defeating Mr. M. Cowen (receives 25) 100-87, after an interesting game in. which the former's greater experience gained the victory. There were 64 players in this tournament, for which trophies were donated by Mr. G. Trim and Messrs. Eatons, Ltd. The highest - break in the competition matches was. registered by Mr. 8. C. Eaton (40). On the same night a return match was played between teams of association members representing New Zealand, and the Rest of the World. Seventeen 30-minute matches were contested, New Zealand winning' on aggregate points (1358 to 1338), although The Rest won 10 games to 7. Mr. R. Chamberlain displayed the best , effort in this series, compiling 135 in the 1 half-hour, while Mr. H. S. Manning scored the highest break (32). The various trophies were presented at the supper adjournment, which marked the clo« of a very successful evening.
