Woodward, S.M., yesterday for owning motoromnibuses not licensed in accordance with the Petono Borough Council bylaws. Gn the application of Mr. W. P. Shorland security for appeal was fixed at £7 7s, plus £5 17s. On a second charge of a similar nature Benny was convicted and discharged. William Large, who was convicted on a charge of acting as the driver of an unlicensed stage carriage between Wellington and Khandallah, was. fined £5 Is with 10a costs. Security for appeal was fixed at £7 7s, phis £5 11s. On a charge of plying for hire at a place not appointed as a stand for licensed vehicles of the class to which his vehicle belonged Large was convicted and ordered to pay 10s costs.
