MELBOURNE, Bth October. A scratching for the Caulfield Cup is Jacobin. The Caulfield Guineas scratchings are Hunting Lion and Corman. M. M'Carteh will ride; Backha Sakao in the Toorak Handicap. M'Carten and J.Munro will arrive to-morrow. Phar Lap's next Melbourne race will be. the Cox Plate at the Moonee Valley Meeting on Saturday fortnight. At Mentone to-day, Glenanton did seven furlongs in Irnin 32sec, Dark Man and Backha Sakao did seven furlongs in lmin 32sec. •j__^^_ __
