LONDON, 7th October. It is understood that Mr.. Lloyd George holds the opinion that the decision of the Liberal members of Cabinet no longer to oppose the election is a gross betrayal of the interests of the country and the party, and "may result in fastening, tho shackles of Protection on the country for a generation, besides wrecking the Liberal Party." A violent, attack on Mr. JJlacDonald is the feature of tho "Daily Herald" editorial, in which it is declared that he is bound hand and foot.by the Tory oligarchy. "We believe the;. country will refuse to be bamboozled by the iiisolont appeals for national,unity or the puerile threats that the return of Lab^ our will mean a national collapse," udds the newspaper. Lord Beaverbrook calls on all Empire Crusadors to question candidates and make sure that they support Empire free trade. '
