CLOSE OF SEASON DANCE

■;Challenge cups, shields, medals, and trophies won by tho Scottish Harriers were on view last evening at St. Francis'a Hall, Hill.street, the occasion being the annual dance held by tho club. This successful function was a fitting close to an outstandingly successful year, and tho presentation of the coveted trophies by the, Mayor, Mr. T. 0. A. Hislop, was an interesting interlude. Mr. Hialop was welcomed by tho prosident, Mr. W. Ballautyne, An able committee, which attended to the arrangoments, comprised Messrs. Buchanan, Dawkins, ■■ E. P. Smith, Zander, Wliitehouso, Stevens, Paterson, Silver, Turner, Sinclair, Lawer, and Macdonald, and the supper committee consisted of Mesdames P. Smith, W. H. Smith, Stevens, Paisley, J. G, Smith, Wakeford, A. Smith, Bolton, and Mason, and Misse* Bmlsfora, Smith (2), OldsbuvyJones, and Stewart. An exhibition tap danco was given by Miss Muriel Wilton aud Mr. Ken Wilton. Among those present were Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop, Sir John and Lady Luke, Mrs. Paisley, Mr. and Mrs. J. Darling, Mrs. P. W. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. M'Villy, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Stevens, and a great many members of the club.
