Taranaki (N.Z.) Oil Fields reports for week ended 3rd October: —"Waitungi No. 2 well: Resumed operations 30th September. Cleaned out cavings and drilled ahead to 2020 feet in firmer formation." ' Mr. A. H. P. Moline, general manager of Taranaki (N.Z,) Oil Fields, N.L., has accepted a position with the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Co., Ltd. Mr. C. N. Taylor, formerly assistant general manager of Taranaki Oil Fields, has been appointed general manager.
