SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

The entertainment arranged by the hostess, Mrs. H. Aplin, for her guests at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday evening drew forth storms of ppplause. The performers were Meedames Aplin, Gibbs, Stowers, Rosenthal, Nash, Messrs. Dyer, Mackie, Field, Williams, i and Hillier. Mr. D. Dyer was at the piano. Light refreshments were passed round by the hostess and helpers. Mr. J. Moore, missioner,: spoke on "Shouting! What For?" . Pledges followed. Prizes for the competitions came from Mesdameg Gibbs and H. Dunn.. .-:
