THE AGE-OLD PASSPORT, (Eeceived 6th October, 10 a.m.) LONDON, sth October. Under the heading, "An Old Turkish Custom," tho "Morning Post" sympathises with Kingsford Smith in his treatment by the Turkish authorities. The newspaper lecalls that many other airmen, despite every precaution to obtain papers beforehand, have alwayi been told on landing in Turkish^ territory that their papers are "incomplete." They have been treated.liko Kingsford Smith, until driven to exasperation to employ the age-old and only, effective passport in that part of the world, generally amounting to about £20."
