PRESENT PARLIAMENT
INTERIM OF SUSPENSE
DISSOLUTION THIS WEEK ELECTION THIS MONTH (British Official Wireless.) (Received 6lh October, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, slh October. It is expected that the work of the present Parliament will end tins week. The newspapers anticipate that the dissolution proclamation will be issued on Thursday or Friday, and that polling in the General Election will take place on 28lh or 291h October. Meanwhile, efforts are proceeding to secure the maximum measure of support from all political parties represented in _the present National Government in an appeal to the country. The differences between Conservative and Liberal Ministers have not yet been resolved, and an agreement is still sought on the terms of the manifesto which the Prime Minister proposes to issue when the election is announced.
