A Guild Sale. The members of the Ladies' Auxiliary Guild of tho Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church have arranged to hold the annual sale of work in the schoolroom on Wednesday. Tho sale will be opened by Dr. J. S. Elliott, and a musical programme will be provided during the evening. Obituary. The death oui-unrd, early ou Friday morning at tho residence of her sou, Mr. Alfred James Morgan, 105, Ferguson street, Palmers tun North, of Mrs. Mary Morgan, relict of the late Mr. George Morgan, a former resident of the Akutarawa district. Born at Lower Hutt in IS4B, the deceased lady was a daughter of Mr. William Thompson, one of tho very earliest residents in that district, and it was in ISOS that she married her late husband, who predeceased her just twenty years ago. After her marriago Mrs. Morgan went to live at Lower Takapu and all eight members of the family—seven of whom survive their mother —were born there After a period of 2G years at Lower Takapu, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan removed to Akatarawa, and it was there that Mr. Morgan died in 1911. Eight years ago Mrs. Morgan went to live with her son in Palmerston North. She leaves flvo sons and two daughters—Messrs. Gcorgo Henry Morgan, of Karori, Alfred James Morgan, of Palmerston North, Arthur Edward Morgan, of WoodviJlc, Walter Morgan, of Walla cevillc, and Ernest Frederick Morgan, of Clivc, Hawkes Bay, and Mesdames T. Robertson, of Bainesse, and C. H. Wackro.w, of Otunui, Taumarunui. One son in Mr. Williams Stephen Morgan, of Upper Hutt, predeceased Ms mother three- years ago. There are 39 grandchildren and 3i great-grandchildren. 'Mrs. Morgan's twin, sister died at the ago of 79, whilo another sister died recently at the same age. The only sur-. viving member of the family is Mr. William Thompson, of Porirua. Dominican Association. An association that has been lost sight of in tho many distractions of life is that of ex-pupils of St. Dominic's College, Dunedin, and as much regret has been felt, a meeting was held recently in Dunedin, which was very largely attended, and the society started again. A request has been made to Wellington ex-pupils to assist in this ro-assembling of old school-fellows, and to co-operate with the committee to ensure tho success of tho movement. The association badge is a gold miniaturo of the Dominican crest, and tho blazer is of black cloth with a handsome silver crest and silver buttons. Tho first reunion in tho form of ,a garden party will bo held at the college during this month, when a large and representative gathering is expected. Tho officers appointed in Dunedin included the Rev. Mother Prioress, as patroness; Mrs. A. J. Hall, president; Mesdames A. F. Quelch, J. A. Brown, J. 11. A. M'Kccfry, Misses M. Ritchie, L. Columb, and M. O'Neill, vice-presi-dents; Miss M. Vallis, secretary; Miss K. Grecnsladc, treasurer; Mrs. N. Speight, Misses M. Batholomcw, K. Sligo, K. Nces, M. Cotter, E. Tipping, and N. Blancy, committee members. Rules for tho association were adopted at a general meeting, and the association appears to have been well launched. Two Farewell Parties. Mrs. Boil. D. Bayless, Kulburn, entertained a number of friends at Hotel St. George yesterday afternoon. This was

Yellow .and mauve were Mended artistically on the tea tables, where a very tasty tea was served. Mrs. Bayless wore a frock ot black chiffon with embroidered sleeves and yoke, and a black Baku straw hat. Mrs* Hitch was in a black lace frock and a black hut, and Mrs. Kuhu wore llornl chiffon with a shoulder spray ot (lowers, and a large black hat. lhe guests included Mesdames Bassant, J. The value of the international character of the Bed Cross Society was illustrated by Captain Galloway at Lower Hutt last evening. During the Eussian revolution some refugees ill escaping under difficult conditions were forced to leave their infant child behind. The family settled in Now Zealand, and for nine years havo lost all traco of the child, llecently the Kcd Cross organisation sought information, and as a result the child is shortly to bo restored to its parents.
