OLD FOOTBALL CLUBS

In a report from Dunedin week it was claimed that the Dunedin Club, which celebrated its diamond1 jubilee on Tuesday, was the oldest-active Rugby club in tho Dominion. There are at least two Rugby football clubs, however, which have been longer in exist-ence—-the Wellington and Christehurch Clubs. It was in 1870 that the Wellington Football Club was formed, and the jubilee celebrations took place last year. The Christehurch Club' is two or three years older than the Wellington Club, and its.diamond jubilee was celebrated a few years ago.
