UNEMPLOYED AID
An entertainment held last week in the Parish Hall, Karori, by the local branch of tho Inter-Church Committee of Social Service resulted in a useful sum being raised for the soup kitchen which has been carried on during the last five months. The Rev. F. M. Kompthorne was in the chair, and a large audience fully appreciated the items given. It was decided to continue the kitchen for the whole of this month, and longer if funds and need warrant it. An nrticle made by one of fcho unemployed was raffled. The secretary of tho Karori Progressive Association, Mr. A. IP. Wireu, expressed his thanks' to those assisting in the entertainment.
