PALMER GAINS DECISION

j SYDNEY, 4th October. In the Sydney Stadium, in a match for the middleweight championship of Australia, Ambrose Palmer, gained a points decision in 15 rounds, and retains tho title, against Fred Hannaborry, who is rapidly coming to the fore. Hannaberry gave a lot of punishment, and in the final three rounds he fought so desperately that his admirers thought that Palmer would bo unable to withstand tho onslaught. The crowd of 8000 was on its tiptoes right through, and expected a draw, a section hooting the decision.
