TACTICS DISAPPROVED

•ANTICIPATORY-HYSTERICS'

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

GAMABU, This Day.

Mr. F. Miluer, C.M.G., headmaster of, the Waitaki High School, president of the Secondary Schools' Association, and vice-president of the Federation of Teachers, yesterday telegraphed to the Wellington executive strongly disapproving of militant tactics and expressing the opinion that premature protests^ and anticipatory hysterics pending Ministerial announcements of the financial position were futile and derogatory.

Interviewed, he added that the teachers were not yet in a position to arrogate judgment, and in view of the necessity of a general sacrifice they must accept a proportionate share, reserving their protests for what was invidious or unfairly discriminating.

Reports of discussions on the Education Vote question appear on page 3.
