SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION

Mr. W. 13. Howe, president of the Sunday School Union, presided at the monthly. meeting of the union, held last evening. The Waiwetu Methodist School was granted affiliation.

. Matters in connection with next week's rally were reported to be well in hand. For the first time country schools will be represented, as Opaki and West Taranaki schools have arranged to send down scholars who have won awards. The Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe will present the prizes won by scholars in the Scripture examination.

Misa Oldfield reported visiting the Vivian Street Baptist School and receiving a cordial welcome as official representative of the union. It was decided that at the November meeting the examination if revealing strength or weakness in the work of the schools should be discussed.
