BROKEN BYLAWS

Offenders against the bylaws were dealt with at the. Magistrate's Court yesterday t-fternoon by Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M. James Moore was convicted and ordered to pay costs for occupying an express stand without a licence.

Fines of Ids in each case were'inflicted on Gordon Eadford, Maurice Bassin, Ivan T. Burgess, and Henry T. Martin for breaches of! the parking regulations. , Alic Robertson uud Horace Hartwell were fined £1 and 10s < respectively for not having drivers', licences. ;

Leonard Beere was fined 10s, and Gerald -horns was convicted and ordered to pay costs for not having rear lights, showing on motor vehicles.

The following were each fined £1 for speeding: Gerald Thorns, Wyndon D. B. Billing, Lawrence S. Davies, William H. Douglas,' William H. Edwards, Valeric Meiklejohn, Keith E. Neilson, and James Pye. Edwin C. Russell ,was fined 10s for a similar offence. Kenneth Banks was fined £1 10s.

The following were fined the amounts indicated for allowing stock to wander: James Feely, £1 ss; Alphonsos Casey, £1 on each of three charges; Ernest Ellicock, 7s 6d; George Bradnoek, ss. For failing to obtain a taxi driver's licence, Arthur T. Collins was convicted and ordered to pay costs. On each of two charges of using an unregistered eating house, Jean M. Cameron was fined 10b.

Ahvyn E. J. Bell was fined 10s for carrying out plumbing work without a licence.
