Offerings at the wool sales to-day.were 11,334 bales, including 1311: New' Zear land. About 5330 bales were sold. There was a representative selection of merinos and crossbreds, with good competition at full prices. Some withdrawals were made, due to high limits. Realisations: New Zealand slipe, "Fairfield," lid to B'/id; greasy crossbred, "Erg," B*4d to Bd. Messrs. Dalgety and Company report, London, Ist October: "Wool sales continue active. As compared with closing rates.last series, prices are: Good greasy merino, 5 per cent, higher, other descriptions , greasy merino, par to 5. per 'cent., greasy half bred, 10 per cent higher;'greasy crossbred, 15 per cent, higher; scoured crossbred, 5 per cent, higher; good scoured merino, par to 5 per cent, lower; good scoured bellies and' pieces, uuchanged; short and faulty scoured merino, irregular, but much improved demand."
