MINING TROUBLES
CONFERENCE AT BLACKBALL
AN OFFER REJECTED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GKEYMOUTH, This Day, The Blackball Miners' Union met this morning to consider proposals for a resumption, of work. The proposals were the outcome of a week-end conference between the miners' representatives, the_ company's representatives, and a Labour Department inspector. ■ The union to-day rejected the offer •of the company to place twenty men immediately on certain conditions, as the union is desirous of selecting the men and sharing work. A delegation was appointed to submit the union's proposals to the company.
