NEW FLIGHT COMMANDER

According to a notice appearing in General Orders last evening, FlightLieutenant W. F. Parke, instructor to the Wairarapa Aoro Club, has been appointed to the command of C Flight (Wellington), No. 2 Bomber Squadron. Now Zealand Air Force, the flight which was previously under SquadronLeader G. L. Stcdman, before his appointment to the command of the Wellington Squadron. Flight-Lieutenant Parke learnt to fly at the Central Flying School, Uphavon, England, in 1914, and went to Franco early in 1915, serving there until November, 1916. Ho was then appointed an instructor at the Nctlieravou Flying School, where; he remained until February, 1918. He later returned to Upliuven as an instructor, and was subsequently engaged as a test pilot. .He has been ari officer of the Now Zealand Air Force, since its inception.
