NEW ZEALAND LOSES TEST

BRISBANE, sth September,

Queensland to-day won the title of champion bowling State of Australia, being 37 points ahead of New South Wales.

In the final matches New Zealand beat Queensland by 94 points to 78. New South Wales beat Tasmania by 107 to 75, and' South Australia beat Victoria by 94 to 93. This left Queensland, Victoria, NewZealand, and New South Wales with four wins and two losses each, so the championship was decided upon the aggregate points—Queensland, 640; New South Wales, 603; Victoria, 601; New Zealand, 571; Tasmania, 539; South Australia, 533; Western Australia, 4SI.

In the Test match, which ■ concluded the fortnight's carnival, Australia beat New Zealand by 117 points to 76. The teams were: '

Australia: Lowe, Wolinski, Fogo, Sargeant; X Boldery, O'Rourke, Maughan, Ciirroy; Blair, Phillips, Stanley, Dobbie; Jarman, Rolkwell, Voysey, and Boatwright.
