An enjoyable time was spent by members of the Miramar Rugby Football Club and their guests at the club's third annual social held in the Miramar Town Hall on Saturday evening. The president (Mr. S. M, Stone) presided, and among the visitors present were Mr. Lance Johnson (Wellington Club), Mr. P. Kennedy (St. Patrick's College Old Boys), and Mr. M. Kendrick (Oriental Club). The following toast list was honoured:— "The King," proposed by Mr. Stone; "Miramar Club," Mr. Ridley; "New Zealand and Wellington Rugby Unions," Mr. A. W. Cooper; "Kindred Clubs," Mr. A. M. Pinkerton; "The Referees," Mr. P. Henry; "Club Coaches," Mr. Stone; "The Artists," Mr. H. Gubbins; "St. John Ambulance and the Press," Mr. L. Russell; and "The Ladies," Mr. C. O. Bell.

Mr. Stone said that, although the club's senior team had not attained a high position in the championship competition, it had by no means been disgraced. As yet the club, was young, and within a year or two there was no reason why the senior team should not occupy a more prominent place.

During the evening items were- given by Messrs. Histed, Edwards, Ross-Wil-liams, A. Black, and J. Cook. The accompanist was Mr. E. D. Wallis:
