UNIVERSITY FEES
(To the* Editor.) Sir,—Although it is admittedly late' in the year to make reference to the following matter,' we would beg to bring before your notice the question .of university fees. It is probable that the majority of those paying fees at Victoria College will, in the near future, have a reduction made in their income. .With this before us, many will be obliged to give up our courses unless some reduction is made here. To take three subjects a year at the Univer-' city costs at least &20, and those who have 10 per cent, taken off their salaries-will find difficulty in carrying on classes under these circumstances, but if a correspond-' ing reduction was , made in regard to theso fees it would assist many students very materially to pursue their ■ studies. If liie fees for subjects were reduced, doubtless many young men and women who would otherwise not attend a university would take the ( opportunity to 6tudy a course. , Wo trust that we have ' taken a step in the right direction in bringing this before your notice, and can assure you that this letter expresses the wishes'of many Md and new students. —We are, etc., ; ' TWO, STUDENTS.
