The Hew Zealand Film Exchange, in conjunction with the Gaiety Theatre, has arranged to screen silent films at Nelson Park nightly, a special screen being fitted, and a recovered machine from the Gaiety Theatre is being used. Although the building containing tho municipal bath has been badly knocked about, the pool is intact, and is now being filled with sea water for bathing purposes. (By "The Post's" Special Reporter.) NAPIEE, This Day. A letter was read at the last meeting of the General Relief Committee from the Western Electric Company, Wellington, stating that that company and various picture houses in Wellington would make available at oniee sound picture projector films and other equipment for screening pictures at the Park until the first picture theatre was reopened in Napier. The only condition made was that no charge should be made for admission, but it was suggested that silver coin collections should be taken up, the balance over tho actual operating expenses to go to the general relief fund.
