"WILL FOR THE DEED"
LADY BLEDISLOE AND BOUQUETS
Her Excellency Lady Bledisloe wishes it to be made known that, while she deeply appreciates the- courtesy of those who, following an old-established and indeed graceful custom, have presented her with bouquets on her arrival at various functions, she realises that (especially during this period of financial stringency and national emergency) the mdny societies and institutions engaged in charitable,* philanthropic, and social welfare services must feel the urgent necessity for devoting to their benevolent and unselfish activities all available funds. For this reason, Her Excellency would feel relieved if, in cases where the presentation of bouquets to her may be contemplated, she might, while grateful for the kind thought, be allowed to accept the will for the deed.
