WANDERING HORSES
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Will you kindly allow me a ,little space to ventilate a grievance' as to wandering horses in the Vogeltown district. For some time past two horses have been allowed to wander at will, on the streets after nightfall. On occasions they are tethered to the electric poles. Surely this is not allowable. Other districts appear to be protected again such a nuisance. Can you tell me whether there is a ranger in the city to deal with these offenders? I remember the old pound in Buckle street, but presume such a convenience has now been dispensed with as unnecessary. Surely something can be done by some proper authority as these wanderers are not only a nuisance but constitute a danger on the roads.—l am, etc., A RESIDENT. " 11th February.
