Wilson, who was chosen to play first in ' the Wellington team to dofend the Anthony Wilding Memorial Shield against Canterbury on Friday and Saturday next, and was an uncertain quantity, will be able tq play. Wilson, who has been receiving medical advice,1 was in doubt for some days. Ills absence would weaken the Wellington team, for he ha? shown fine forjn strict; the New Zealand championships,-having'won thirteen championship titles.. :..'... '■ The Canterbury team, the strongest which has visited Wellington from any province for years past, will arrive tomorrow morning, and have a. day's practice at Miramar Grounds before the big match. I. A. Seay, one member, of the team, has been in \Vellingto_' for the past week. T. W. Patterson has been appointed captain of the Canterbury team,..and R. Browning manager. Members1 of the Wellington team will practice at Miramar Grounds to-night and to-morrow. ~
