WALL STREET CHEERFUL

(Received 11th February, 1 p.m.) NEW YORK, 10th February. The wave of cheerfulness which swept over Wall street this week has been marked, by \-igorous advances in the prices of stocks, also grains and cottons. There was a good demand for bonds to-day. Equity share values made extreme ;fains of 2 dollars to 16% dollars in the more actively traded issues, adding more than a billion dollars to their aggregate quoted value of almost five million shares sold on the Stock Exchange.
