Nine of the students, the matron, and three of the maids from, the- Catholic, Seminary at Grcenmeadows, which suffered so'-severcly in the earthquake, are. now receiving treatment'at the'-Homo iof Compassion, Island Bay, arid will ro- [ main there until quite well enough to return to their homes. -All are more or less injured, three rather.seriously, and all are suffering ..from. shock._ Sisters from the home went to Napier and Grecnmeadows last week, and several of-the survivors*'from-the seminary returned in their charge. The activities of the matron at Grecnmeadows after the calamity are described as most heroic. . ; The Sisters have also offered beds at the home for other casualty, cases.
