< The question, of transport of refugees I back to Napier was raised at. a'meeting of the Belief Committee to-day, when Mr. A. E.Batt said' that now the 'railway line was open motorists would not be expected to take them "back. Already refugees were i wanting, to return : from Christchurch. The people were getting tired j |of remaining in the cities. Committee to-morrow ho j would bring up the question of organising ..builders' labourers for service .in Ha-wkes Bay. The'first necessity was to rebuild the chimneys. ; Mr. Hugh Ward, of Sydney, attended the meeting, and was welcomed.
