; On Saturday afternoon a fair attendance of members of the-'Hiitt Valley Gun Club took part la the second stage of the club championship, 21 birds off tho 15yds mark. . The southerly jWtnd which prevailed .tended to mako tho flight of tho birds erratic./ but; nevertheless the standard of marksmanship'.was 'high. Two competitors,'A. Scott :aiid W- J..IX. In tho shoot-off Morris won the trophy. The third match was a double rise swecpstuko of 10 birds in five pairs, and was won by W. J. 11. Haase. who shot tho possible of? J.4yds. J. Care, .oft 16yds, was second with nino birds. . The quail, drive.was, won. by.
