The Bailway department has 'assembled sufficient rolling stock ■ afc points adjacent to Napier to evacuata up to 20,000 people, if necessary, within six hours. , Fifty bogie wagons and vans , are also in readiness. for hospital purposes. Up to the present sleeping cars have been used for casualties.
