GISBORNE MEETINGS
ABANDONMENT ANNOUNCED
The Gisborm and Poverty Bay race meetings have'been abandoned. The secretary o? the New Zealand Racing Conference 'hag been informed by the presidents of the. Gisborne Racing Club and the rbverty Bay Turf, Club that because of conditions caused' by the earthquake, the clubs-have.decided to abandon their Summer1 Meetings. The Gisborne Meeting was to have been held, yesterday and to-morrow, ;and the Poverty Bay Meeting next Thursday and Saturday. A postponement of this week's meeting had been announced. The two clubs will apply.for dates later in the season.
