REMOVAL OF INJURED
TO VARIOUS HOSPITALS
1t.,.1a^ been, decided to .evacuate front both Hastings and' Napier all hospital patients, and arrangements for the removal of the injured and the; sick are, now being carried out. The patients ■wiirbe distributed to all hospitals within reasonable range. The Wellington Hospital has offered to take 50, and Palmcrstou Xorth Hospital 50.
The first instalment o^f injured and rofugees from the slrick"en area, numbering 200, left by the dowii express this morning, and a further contingent of 40 left by a special hospital train.
