VIADUCT TRAFFIC

WHAT THE LIGHTS MEAN

Automatic light signals nre now in operation, at each end of the Kelburn viaduct, and must be properly noted by motorists. No vehicle may enter upon the viaduct while either the. red or the amber light is showing ahead, either alone or in combination with another colour: that is, the green alone is the only "go" signal. The amber light is merely an indication that- the signal is about to change from green to red or red to green. Two oars may bo on the viaduct at the same time, but no lorry or bus is to start across the bridge while any other vehicle is upon it. Traffic officers pay visits to the viaduct off and on during the day to see that the rules arc properly observed.
