CHRISTCHURCH OFFERINGS.

The first of the CUristclnirch sales opens on Friday. Allotments by the Wool Committee for this sale are 22,000 bales, which it is expected will not be reached. Wool has been. received fairly freely, but growers have fully exercised their right to place substantial reserves on the wool compared with current rates. The wool is in fair condition and free from dust. Catalogues will contain a fair proportion of held-over wools. Competition is expectzd to be keen at present market rates.
