LONDON WOOL MARKET
STEADY COMPETITION
(Received 10th December, 12.5 p.m.) - • ■ ■ ■ LONDON, 9th December. Total catalogues offered at the wool sales to-day were 11,132 bales, including 33512 New Zealand. About 0000 bales were sold. There was a good offering of clip wools, both greasy and scoured, and moderate supply of all New Zealand sorts. Steady competition at late rates was maintained. New Zealand realisations were: Maka, B%d to Sd; To Hoa, 7Vid to 7d; To Kopao, Sd to 7%d.
The Bank of New South Wales is in receipt of the following cable message from its London office dated sth December: "Wool. At low level now reached, crossbreds are an active market." Messrs. Dalgety and Company report: "London wool sales continue with good competition. Crossbred very firm, with slight upward tendency. Merino: Change, if any, is in favour of buyers."
