SYDNEY TURF NOTES

P. KIDDLE IN FORM

(From "Vedette.") SYDNEY, 4th December. P. Biddle, who did exceptionally well in New Zealand with light harness performers and won the Trotting Cup with Sheik, is having a good run of success with gallopers here. What is more, they are well-supported at the right time. He produced a maiden two-year-old in Dilemma (Legionnaire—Bewilder) at Moorefield and. the youngster scored very easily. This is a smart colt who will do bettor things.. Another Legionnaire youngster in Grenadier won the other division of the Juvenile Handicap. He, too,.is an attractive galloper, but had won at Menangle previously. He may not prove of the same quality, as' Dilemma. George Price gave Mr, Erie Riddiford's Greenmantle (Kilbroney—Mascot) a run at Moorefield. He is not quite ready and did not show up at any stage. Tea Miss, who had been winning races round the country, beat a poor lot in the second division of the open sprint event at Mooreficld. Her success was well anticipated, and considering she was hampered twice in running she certainly justified the confidence of those behind her. Stormy staged a complete reversal of form at Moorefield as compared with his effort at Warwick Farm a week earlier, when he was possibly unlucky to be beaten. He failed to show up at any part, and what was more, was decidedly uneasy in the betting.' He has been nominated for the hurdle races at Randwick at the ' holiday meetings. ! Gemlight. was a-runner ; .in the Three Year Old. Handicap; at Warwick Farm yesterday,, but was never in a winning position., He was top weight, 95t.,, but Sir : Duninald, a three-year-oid, won easily with 8.12. Spearman, winner over a mile and a quarter, and Pavilion, who scored in the open sprint at Warwick Farm yesterday, are a likely pair for good races at Randwiek during the holidays. Pavilion is in the Villiers Stakes at 7,10,. and should take all kinds .of beating.
