EXHIBITION OF PAINTINGS
An exhibition of water-coldur paintings by Mr. T. A. M'Corraack, opened in the Kelvin Chambers yesterday, should attract careful. attention from all who are interested in this very fascinating branch of art. Naturally different pictures appeal to different people, but there are several which will please all who admire a picture for its own sake or for the good work that has gone to its making. One extremely good picturo is "Morning, liiishciitter's Bay, Sydney," shown for the first time. "The Avenue" is an excellent sketch. "Westerly Glow, Island Bay," will appeal to many as tho outstanding work, and in it Mr. M'Corinack achieves extraordinary reality. '"Ti-lrees," "Summertime," and "Sunset,. Sydney Harbour," are all good paintings. "Winter Morning" is an interesting picture and one from which., much can be learned.
