(Received Bth December, 8 a.m.) LONDON, 7th December. BOUI requests have been ignored, consequently Lindrum and Davis have announe-j ed that they will not be competing in the championship. It is believed that Newman is contemplating going to Australia. M'Conachy and Willie Smith are not competing in the English championship, thus the world's best billiardists are not participating. In the Empire billiards tournament the scores are:—Davis, 24,613, including a break of 287; Lindrum, 23,867, including breaks of 327, 284, 293, 434. Newman, 36,----230, including breaks of 933, 109, 150, 697, 549, 424, and 3160, defeated M'Conachy, who scored 19,374, including breaks of 315 and 297. Snooker: Davis, 1823; Lindrum, 1082.
