BOXING
TO-MORROW'S TOURNAMENT,
Boxing enthusiasts should be well catered for in the programme of events to be decided at to-morrow night's tournament, promoted by the local association. Since his arrival here Pairhall has been displaying form well up to the standard when he cai'ried all before him on his first visit to the Dominion, and there is little doubt but what he will justify the. association's action in again bringing him over. Morgan has undergone a strenucourse of training under the eye of Chapman, and with some advantage over Fairhall in weight, he appears sure to give a good exhibition. This will be the most important contest he has_ yet undertaken since joining the professional ranks, and on his showing to-morrow much oi the success o£ his future ring career depends. The big contest will be preceded by five amateur contests all of which should provide pleasing bouts. In additiou to several new exponents appearing great interest attaches to the meeting between OxIcy, the Pahiatua champion, and George Thomas. In view of the heavy booking since the plan opened on Thursday, the association strongly advises intending patrons to secure their tickets before the plan closes.
