SUBURBS CLUB

The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club visited Trentham on Saturday afternoon, and completed the fifth match in the second series on the Seddon Range at §00 and 900 yards, 10 shots at each range. A strong mirage and rear right wind was experienced during the afternoon, the- wind varying from 20 right to 10 right, and elevation at times upsetting the calculation of the riflemen. Four members, .with their handicaps, reached the possible (100) —Sherbrookc, Goodull, AVhite,.and Neilson. The best range score at 800 yards was put xip by A. Stewart, with 46. At 900 yards Sherbrooke, AVhite, and Goodall. each made 45. Nest Saturday the club will lire the second match m the third series—ten shots at ranges of 300 and COO yards. On Saturday, 20tli December, the club will have its annual special Christmas shoot at ranges of 300 and 500 yards. This match will also .complete the third match in the third series. The.'first match in the second series, 500 and, 600. yards, will be fired on the 3rd January, and the fourth match in'the sanie series on the 7th February. •■'. : Saturday's scores were: — .
