CROSSBRED PRICES

Of that number 17,486 bales ivere Hawkes Bay and East Coast ■wool, and 1884 bales Gisborne wool. The relatively small offering is attributable partly to delayed shearing, partly to a decided lightness in the clip, and partly to reluctance of some growers to quit at prices which they hope will be improved upon next season or later in the present season. A slight rise on Auckland levels was shown at the first Napier wool sale of the season, held to-day.
