NEW MOTOR-SHIP
BOUGHT BY ANCHOR COMPANY
After successful official trials over a harbour course at Auckland on Thursday, tho new wooden motor-vessel recently built by Mr. George Nicol was sold to tho Anchor Shipping and Foundry Company, of Nelson. She. has been named Taupata by her new owners. The Taupata will l'eavo early in December for Norfolk Island, and will tlicu be taken to Nelson. The Anchor Shipping Company intends to use her for the carriage of fruit from Motueka, Mapua, and Nelson to AVcllington, and in other cargo services for which her shallow draught, S feet, makes her especially suitable. Two additions have thus been made to their fleet by the Anchor Company in the last few days. The Himatangi was purchased by the company from the Holm Shipping Company on! Saturday.
