The monthly meeting of the Management Committee ■of .the Boys' Institute and S. A. Rhodes' Home for Boys, was held last evenhig, • the following members being, present: Mr. L. T. Watldns (in the chair), Mesdames !L. .T.. Watkins and A. W. Hunter, Messrg.C. S.Moore, G. R. Brown, W. A. Partoi^ G. K. Baudinet, T. H. Gill, W. Fergusspn, A. Johnson, J. A. Orr, L. Calvert, R. D. Moore, and the Director. .;•'.■'■
The york of the instructors in connection with the Scout Troop and Oub Pack was referred to with appreciation.
The Director reported that the atteud ance at the pictures-for the month had totalled 1016, an average of 213 per night. Tho football, season had , now drawn to a close and the result'of the games had been satisfactory.- -:The:. Rugby fourth grade had entered a team in the seven-a-side tournament,1 played* on 6th ■ September. Competitions were still-in progress in the Games Room, the' quoits competition being won by R. M'Lean. The Meccano Club had now a- membership o£ 18 boys, nil of whom -were very keen. Later in the year it was .intended to hold an exhibition of the models made.. There were now 000 books in the "circulating library, whieli was proTing^very; popular --with tin? bove. . '. . .
