LODGE MEETINGS

The fortnightly meeting of Court Lady Glasgow, No. 8261, A.0.F., was held last week, C.E. Sister G. Anset presiding. There was a good muster of members. At the conclusion of the meeting a - social evening was held for members and mends. \ clog dance by two little girls and a skipping dance by Miss Rose were-special items on the programme. Mrs. Robb waß pianist, and an extra was played by Mr, Jim Chambers. Official visits were paid by the members of Excelsior and Mewburn Lodges. The sick bards' reports were received and sick pay passed. Brother Maclaughlan gave a detailed report of the meeting of the DispensaryBoard. Brother Mollison reported on the R.A.Cj It was decided to enter for the Ritual Shield competition, and the official coach (Brother V. Rowlands) was instructed to make the necessary arrangements. Brother Mollison was instructed to have added to the quarterly circular a notice of motion altering the period of Grand Lodge sessions from' every two years to every three years. The Grand Secretary (Brother J. H. Laughton) made a presentation to Brother J. H. Phillips \ on the occasion of his recent marriage. After routine business the lodge adjourned for indoor bowls competitions, teams being skipped by Brothers Bott, Rowlands, Mollison, and Captain Rogers beat teams skipped by Brothers Laughton, Ingram, Robertson, and Maclaughlan. In the final for the champion skip Brother Bott easily outplayed Brother J. H. Latighton and won the trophy.
