Stecher's speed is amazing, and although he has numerous holds, the "figure four scissors" is .the one in ■which he specialises. He is_ confident or success this evening. Logan is also a man with a great record. He < has beaten Kilonis, and many other well-known grapplers, and he thjnks, he will hold his own with Stecher to-night. His recent contest with the "Terrible Turk" was the most sensational ever held in New Zealand, and Pasha himself says he was lucky to beat the "Headlock King."' The amateur championships commence to-night, and there are some fine matches to bo staged in the first round. The booking is exceptionally heavy, and those who wish to obtain a good seat should make their reservations at the Ritz tobacconist shop in Manners street.
