STOP OUT CLUB

The tenth annual meeting of the Stop Out Cricket Club was held recently, Mr. J. Hitchen presiding over 'a large attendance. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report, remarked upon the satisfactory manner in which the club's affairs had been conducted during the past season. The annual report stated that the club entered four teams. The junior D team won their competition by winning nine games, with a total of 72 championship points. This makes the third year in succession that the club has won a junior championship. The senior boys' team were runncrs-up in their competition. Trophies were won ns follows:—Junior B: Silver Cup (donated by Mr. W. R. Bock), It. Liddicoat. Junior D: President's Bat, Mr. .T. Kitchen; medal (donated by Mr. W. Mitchell), J. Sandholme; medal (donated by "Anonymous," for the , highest batting average), Mr. H. Mason; senior boys: President's Bat, R. G. Masters; intermediate boys, bat (donated by Mr. H. M. M'Girr), E. Beagle; medal (donated by Mr. W. Peterson), R. Kemp. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Rev. T. F. Taylor; vicepresidents, Messrs. W. R. Bock, Sir A. Roberts, H. Lloyd, A. Varney, C. Collins, P. Corder, W. J. Blundell, H. Amos, G. Clark, H. M'Girr, L; Brabin, F. Merrick; lion, secretary, Mr. E. Anderson; club captain, Mr. A Anderson; Management Committee, Messrs. R. Dunn, M. Power, W. M'lvor, P. Kemp, H. Mason, R. Liddicoat, and W. Mitchell; delegates to W.C.A., Messrs. J. Hitchen and I. M'Phee; delegates to W.8.C.A., Messrs. W. Mitchell and E. Anderson. It was decided to enter teams in the following competitions:—-Junior B and C, third, seniors boys, and junior boys.
