Dacre, the ex-New Zealand cricket representative, who gained the distinction of scoring a double : century i English county cricket tlis' season, was well placed on th« list of firstclass batting averages compiled to the 11th August. In 36 innings he was twice not out, and had made 1172 rung at an average of 34.47. Dacro has been, playing for Gloucestershire, which \ county was second:in this year's:championship. .
