SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

There was a happy gathering at the Sailors' Friend Society yesterday, when a big party from Kent Terrace Church rendered some popular pieces under the baton of Mr. E. C. Jack. Encores were much in demand. The performers were: Mrs. Robinson, Misses E. Janes, D. D Cent, J Richardson, .1. Hayward, D. Wood, T. Greenfield and Messrs. Silvers, Hurst, Delaney. Mrs. Robinson and Miss E. Janes were at the piano. Light refreshments were dispensed by the performers. The competition prizes came from Mrs. J. Burnett. Mr Jack responded for the performers to a vote of thanks moved by Mr. James Moore, missioner. ■
