Commenting on the election of,. Dr. Neville Stuart Talbot, Bishop of - Pretoria, to the Bishopric of Newcastle, in succession to the late Bishop Long, Archdeacon Charlton said the new blood would be welcomed, as the Churchy in Australia had got into a rut from which an outstanding personality like that of Dr. Talbot should help materially to lift it. D,r. Talbot did fine work as a war-time chaplain at the front. He was a well-known writer on ecclesiastical subjects, and his family was - associated with Taibbt House, which was the headquarters of Toe H.
